In addition to Sunday worship, we run a whole range of groups and activities for all ages, from toddlers to those of 90+, throughout the week. We would be delighted for you to join us. See below for further details.
Prayer is one of the most important parts of our Christian life, both individual and group prayer. Our Prayer Ministry team lead a number of group sessions and will also prayer with or for individuals at the end of worship. There is also a prayer chain which can be used whenever the need arises.
We are all at different stages of our Christian journey and so we run a number of Bible study groups which meet at various times throughout the week. They are a good way of getting to know people in an informal situation and help us to explore and grow in faith.
Mission is an important part of Methodism, supporting initiatives, projects and people in this country and throughout the world. We support mission work through organisations like the Somer Valley Foodbank, Action for Children and JMA.
Our outreach to Children and Young People ranges from babies to 18 years and above, on different occasions through the week. There's Seeds Toddler Group for the pre-schoolers, Lighthouse for children in school years 3 - 6, Messy Church for all ages, plus our Sunday Children's Ministry called The Harbour.
We seek to be a Church for the whole community and so as part of our outreach we run various groups and clubs which help to meet the needs of the village. These include Meet the Neighbours and the twice-monthly Friday Lunch Club (which is soon to restart following Covid).
