Community Houses of Prayer

A huge thank you to all of you who supported the Peasedown Community House of Prayer last year in any way whatsoever. About seven people met together monthly, but never the same seven, with at least two of the churches in the village represented each time. It may not sound like many, but every prayer is important, and every prayer, whether spoken or silent, is heard.

The year finished with a large and exciting prayer gathering in Bath Abbey in November, which included our filling a net which stretched the length of the nave with the names of people, places and situations we pray for, and blank cards representing others that only God knows. Lets continue to pray this year!

The dates for 2019 are:

Sunday Prayer

At Peasedown Methodist Church we believe that PRAYING TOGETHER IS POWERFUL

Prayer makes the darken'd cloud withdraw;
Prayer climbs the ladder Jacob saw;
Gives exercise to faith and love;
Brings every blessing from above. - Charles Spurgeon

Each Sunday we meet in the Upper Room at 9.45 am to praise God for his blessings, pray for the world, the local area and the church.

"What is impossible with men is possible with God." - Luke 18:27

Will you join us…?

Prayer Breakfast

An opportunity to meet together at the beginning of the week to thank God for past blessings and to pray for the week ahead.

The group meets weekly (term time only) from 9am to 10am on Mondays in the dining room of the church and is open to everyone.
